I think, from what I have seen/heard so far, and from what I know from
having been in retail for so long, that there are indeed several different
fish that are being pushed under that name. Wholesalers and distributors
are notorious for getting things screwed up. ;) You should've seen the
lovely Australian-mix" rainbows that the store I worked in got when we
ordered in M. maccullochi. ;) ;) You could well have seen a bunch of
color-enhanced (either through selective breeding or hormones) parkinsoni
sold as Marci. It is certainly very possible. :)
