if you want to keep the M. "marci", because you like them, please do so and enjoy the fish. If you want to
breed them (what isn't possible with all hybrids but surely with some - who talked about the German
saying all hybrids were infertile? :-)), breed them. But what shouldn't happen and what happens at present
is that the hybrids are sold as pure species with scientific names. This is fraud in the legal sense.
You also wouldn't sell red platies as "Xiphophorus maculatus" but just as a red platy. Hybrid rainbows
must not be sold unter scientific names. If they are sold as let's say "Red Baron Rainbowfish" as happened,
nothing against (from my point of view, I know, the purists among the list members have other opinions).
And I only can asure you as the other list members did - the marcis are hybrids!!
