sick fish

Chris,

>>As for your Axelrodi . . . . Sounds suspiciously like UD.Oh well shit happens.

Unfortunately they are not old enough to breed. The one that had the thing on
his head that died was about 2 inches, of the three I have left two are about
and inch and a half and the other is only about 3/4 of an inch long.

Only one of the larger of the 3 remaining fish seems to be affected. It does not
have any visible growths or anything on its body. Mostly it just seems sick. It
hangs in the water more than the other two. It also seems kind of humped over.
Not like livebearers do near the dorsal, but up just behind his head. It's
pretty subtle. It does still seem to be eating some but not as well as the other
two.

>>I always increase salt content when treating sick fish.<< I would generally
prefer to use salt than other chemicals. Do you think a salt dip would be more
effective or adding salt to the entire tank? (the plant's will love this.<g>) Or
do you think I should remove the obviously ill fish to a quarantine tank and
only treat it with salt. Finally what sg do you recommend?

Thanks,

Rhonda
