There was a thread on this some time back.... I certainly felt that the appearance of the fish in Canberra, at least, had declined dramatically. There was some argument over this, especially when we raised the subject of the differing body shapes over a c
ouple of generations and the appearance of bent backs, etc.

Certainly, to my memory, the praecox of a year ago were much more colorful and differently shaped to the ones we're seeing now.

I keep what i consider to be a very beautiful C.Bleheri. I have in the past sold
fry from this fish to local stores. These stores have held the fish in brightly
lit tanks with light coloured gravel and as a consequence the fish look nothing
like Bleheri! I'd offer your fish the best accomodations and food etc. before
jumping to conclusions.
