David

I have collected werneri in 4 different areas in FNQ (Far North Queensland)
and in every case they were most numerous in shallow, warm, well vegetated
quiet waters. The fry were congregated at the margins and surface where the
temperatures were appreciably warmer than where the adults were schooling. I
woould estimate the temperatures were 30-35 C

Michael - I'm not sure werneri fry will be able to eat vinegar eels for at
least a month. Even adults will still take micro and vinegar " worms"

Bruce.
