We are now getting to the Outer Limits of SPAM.
I'm pretty sure that God had nothing to do with NT, aside from perhaps
answering some random prayers from Microsoft employees.
That said... I play with the lab macs, and now have a K6 (roughly 6th
gen x86 affine thing with many risc execution modules) and the lab mac, I
am sure, is about as good a power mac as one can buy. I upgraded my home
computer for a grand total of $500. This included a new motherboard,
processor, and 32 meg of memory, and a new video card, and I could do
better today.
And it just kicks the shit out of the lab mac at pretty much every task
that I ask it to do.
Apple needs to become an OS company. The hardware is too fucking
expensive for what it does. I have grown fond of their OS over the
years, but the evil fucking wintel machines always gave me more pure bang
per buck.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Non-spam, or maybe hyperspam.... how was it that Oz and PPNG wound up
with pretty much the most beautiful tropical fish? Is this a "grass is
always greener" sort of thing, or is it true?
Point of balance:
North America has some of the most lovely, if not the most lovely
coldwater freshwater fish. We have some minnows here that will blow your
butt clean over the Pacific Ocean. However, you will probably need some
refrigeration to keep them alive.
