Not really, at least nothing like tris. One of my personal favourites is
the population in the Balonne River at St George. They were a little
more slender and seemed like they had some faint yellow in them on the
body, made them look a little more green and gold! Some populations have
more pink in the tail than others. Variation exists, but at a much lower
level than in most rainbows. This is probably because they are all in
the one drainage and mixing may be more common. I'm presently trying to
test that hypothesis using genetics. Whadayareckon about that Harro?
