I wouldn't be too concerned with temperature changes when dealing with
DG's. Springs can often have quite quick temperature gradients which the
fish will cross with no apparent ill effects. DG's can apparently take
temps from 5-41oC. I've never had them very cold, but one time my upper
tanks in my fishroom were 40oC (104oF) for three days and they showed no
apparent signs of stress (one of the advantages of keeping desert fish in
a hot room--I never lost a fish!).

think politics is much higher than that.... Then we could talk about an
