Neil had once told me that because the Weipa tri (that was what he called
it) looked so similar to herbies that the fish was not spread around by
himself for obvious reasons. I have also seen this fish in his fishroom
and it is a remarkable resemblence that at a glance would fool most
people. Correct me if I'm wrong but Running Cks are fairly available
now? And, this would definately have been the same fish Neil was
refering to? I believe he brought them back from his visit that Keith
refers to above.
Regarding that Arius photo in Fishes of Sahul, I remember seeing that
photo and thinking that that would have to be one really bizarre catfish
if it was an Arius sp! I don't have that issue here at the moment but it
certainly did resemble a Cooper catty and Ron did have a slide or two of
it for my following article a few issues later.
