I was noticing that some people made some comments about this dark head
problem in fish. Just to add to the information about this phenomenon. I
lost two fish this year from the same sort of thing. Both were adult male
paradise fish (Macropodius opercularis). In both instnaces the front half of
the fish turned extremely dark. The line between the normal coloration and
the dark coloration was very marked. There was a very distinct line running
diagonally through the fish that marked the normal from dark side. In both
instances the fish bloated in a few days, like dropsy, then died a few days
later.
