But was the disease you quote in salmoniids the same as the one we are
talking about?

Have we really shown that all these ulcers are really TB? If this is the
case then you had better kill all the bow stocks around the world and
start again (if it can be carried by eggs). How else can TB be
transferred? Water droplets? If it can be carried by water droplets
then we are all done for, as no aquarist ever maintains strict quarantine
between their tanks in fishrooms. The same nets, syphon hoses, arms, etc
go in all the tanks. And anyway, can't fish TB infect humans occasionally?
