The coldest night I"ve ever spent was in Hawaii, and I"ve done snow
camping in the sierra Nevada in winter! I got caught by a thunderstorm at
susnet on Mauna Loa so my sleeping bag was soaked and it froze almost
solid that night. Needless to say, I hadn't brought my snowcamping gear
on that trip...
