The Spotted Blue-eyes Pseudomugil gertrudae here around Darwin this
time of year have to tolerate temperatures as low as 19 deg C. in the
billabongs. I think that they probably get warmer in the shallow
water around the edges because it is the dry season and the sun
shines brightly every day with midday air temperatures 30 to 33 deg
C. Why haven't you asked about the Delicate Blue-eye Pseudomugil
tenellus which are in the floodplain billabongs here, they are a very
attractive little fish when adult size.
