dont get me wrong. Ive still got your book
I collect anything that has a slight mention of Rainbowfish
from books with one paragraph and Catchment Board pamphlets
through to books and posters like yours including stickers that get made
over here now and then.
Also I paid $23.00 Aus foe your book as Im a retailer but Ive seen retail
prices around OZ upto $45aus
Ive enjoyed reading your book as much as any other book as its still
different to the others for including the Celebes and Madagascan
species which are really dont get considered the same group in South
Australian collections.Not like Irian Jaya and Islands Papua New Guinea and
of course OZ

Gunther's book definitely is a good one! But who wants to have only one book
;-)?
But why pay more than necessary? If you want to wait the time seamail takes
from Germany to Oz, the price is 28.80 DEM, which roughly are 25 AUD! Just

Sorry Harro but I reckon the Breath taking book is a bit expensive in
Australia and the photos are colour enhanced spoiling it but for beginners I
would recommend
Breathtaking Rainbows Harro Hieronimus approx $43.00aus
Rainbowfish Gunther Schmida approx $15.00aus
Rainbowfishes in Nature and Aquariums Dr Gerry Allen Approx $30.00aus
Rainbowfish in Aquariums (RE range TFH) approx $15.00
but not in that order as above
I believe Gunther's book the best for your money

all rainbowfishes is still not published, it will be the best book ever on
rainbows, and I'm the author ;-)
Have a look into "Breathtaking Rainbows" as long as all rainbows are
published. This may be more for a newbie as there is a lot of basic
information, while "all rainbowfishes" will have the species depictured and
only scientific information on the relationships of atherinid fishes in it.
