Gunther's book definitely is a good one! But who wants to have only one book
;-)?
But why pay more than necessary? If you want to wait the time seamail takes
from Germany to Oz, the price is 28.80 DEM, which roughly are 25 AUD! Just

Sorry Harro but I reckon the Breath taking book is a bit expensive in
Australia and the photos are colour enhanced spoiling it but for beginners I
would recommend

Rainbowfishes in Nature and Aquariums Dr Gerry Allen Approx $30.00aus

all rainbowfishes is still not published, it will be the best book ever on
rainbows, and I'm the author ;-)
Have a look into "Breathtaking Rainbows" as long as all rainbows are
published. This may be more for a newbie as there is a lot of basic
information, while "all rainbowfishes" will have the species depictured and
only scientific information on the relationships of atherinid fishes in it.
