Welcome to the list. M. praecox can be touchy at first as they
originally
come from soft acid jungle streams and many of those fish are
quite
sensitive to water quality as far as nitrogenous wastes and
sudden changes
in pH and TDS. Try adding a little Blackwater extract and
keeping the water
on the soft and slightly acid side.
