Hi all,
Just wondering if any of you people raising peacock gudgeons every
have problems with deformities. The seem to be bent just behind the head.
Looks like a hunchback and then the spine turns left or right. The start
of the disorder seems to appear at the time that they start looking like
real fish (fin development etc.) Usually, seems to occur early on in
development. I don't know if it is a congenital defect. If I didn't know
better it looks like the vitamin C deficiency found in channel catfish. In
the channel cats it is a function of stocking density and feed competition.
Suggested was addition of citrus pulp in food (really old text). If it is a
vitamin deficiency, how do I add this to the diet of the fry when they are
still eating baby brine or micro worms.
