I don't really know about the food issue here, but I don't think I'd be
using clout to treat fungus. Clout is pretty nasty stuff. If all you had
in the tank were rainbows I would have just used salt to treat it or
removed the effected fish to another tank and treated them there. Ten grams
per litre should kill any fungal infections. That's a much better
alternative to using drugs. I wouldn't be too surprised if the clout messed
up your lacustris.
