[RML] Strange affliction

I've been meaning to ask about this for some time. I had one tri that as an
adult fish has started to get really misshapen. She's a real mess now though
she was fine before. Now I found another that seems to be getting a little
bit of the same problem. I removed both fish from the main tank because
these seems very much like a problem I had with my guppies last summer.
While I was gone on vacation this same affliction hit my guppies and almost
every single one of them ended up with a bent back. I've finaly got guppies
going again and the fry of the bent ones did not come out bent.

Because of the speed at which this has occured both in the bow and the
guppies last year, I'm thinking this is some sort of horrible disease. I
would think if it was a vitamin deficiancy it would be happen more regularly
and occur in fry and the other adults. I don't know how I could possibly
feed my fish a much more diverse diet as it is.

Any ideas?
