I vary the food as much as possible and keep them at cooler temps such as low 70'sF or low 20'sC.
They get Sera Vipan flake, Murex Spirulina flake, HB "soft and moist" pellets, Murex freeze dried plankton, and frozen bloodworms. In addition, in the spring and summer they get whatever live foods I can harvest from my (pesticide free) garden. This week
some kind of moth catepillar is attacking my grapevine. As a consequence my adult bows are enjoying some plump, juicy treats! They attack these things with gusto! But then they do that with just about everything they eat. Next week it could be ant eggs, s
piders, mossie larvae...whatever I can find that I think they'll eat.
