The first report on spawning clown loaches (hormon induced, of course) appeared in the middle of the
60ies in the former GDR magazine Aquarien Terrarien by a man named Knaack. As far as I know all the
South East Asian imported species are caught as very small fish in the spawning area of the clown loach
and then raised in pools until they are large enough to spawn.
If the fish were bred by striping them they also could be spawned naturally. The problem is to induce the
riping of the testis and ovar.
