My 2 cents worth.
IMHO the albinos have less potential to screw up captive stocks in the long
run...
I think that "scientifically controlled crossing" would have to mean
"terminate with extreme prejudice as soon as experiment over". The albinos
would be nothing more than 'toys', commercial exploitation, but the xbreeds,
if they found their way into the hobby, could prejudice future breeding
efforts. Who would potential breeders know who to trust? But the albinos,
such as they are, should they ever eventuate, will stick out like the
proverbial canine gonads.
