There is a paper on Hypseleotris compressa in the Australian Journal of Marine
and Freshwater Research from the mid 80's on their spawning behaviour. Since
I am a million miles away from my desk right now (Canada actually) I can't
just look it up. But a search in Biological Abstracts or ASFA would find it
quickly. I seem to remember it saying females could spawn morethan once, but
I could be wrong too.....a not too infrequent occurence. If you can't find it
let me know and i will look it up when I get back in a week.
