Sounds to me, on the small amount of info given, like some sort of
parasite. More than that I couldn't tell you, but it is probably one to
which your Bows are the most suseptable. Do you have a vet in your area
that you could take a freshly dead specimen to to get a sample examined?
That would be my plan of attack. Then you would know what drug to use, and
you would also be able to use this on any future purchases (in a
quarentine tank, as I'm sure you don't want this to happen a 3rd time)
before they enter your main tank. Seems that the fish coming into your
area have a propensity towards this if it has happened twice already. I
would get another, quarantine-only tank before you begin restocking again.
It will make your life ever so much happier. :-) How do I know this?
