Bill,

Does Aquaticus have a web site or a phone number?

I'm just getting my tanks going after a few years layoff and have discovered
that my old sources for Rainbows are gone. The stuff in the stores are
CRAP!

Depending on how long you've been in the hobby, you may have heard of the
Rainbowfish Study Group. They used to produce a quarterly newsletter with
fish/egg lists. There was always a good selection and they managed a
species maintenance program with a very impressive list of fish.
Unfortunately it was pretty much two or three guys (and gals) that kept it
together and they all had setbacks that has the group in hibernation.

It would be great to get the species maintenance / egg exchange side of it
back in operation. Anyone that has seen the poor quality of livestock in
the LFSs knows how important it is to maintain the viability of what pure
strains we have left.

I live in the US (Texas) and have been able to purchase fish through 2
wholesalers. I have bought from Aquaticus from New Jersey and Sante Fe
Tropical fish from New Mexico. Does anyone have any knowledge about these
wholesalers? The fish I've received seem to be of high quality. Aquaticus
claims some of their fish to be F1 or F2.

Does anyone know of other sources for hard to find rainbows in the US?

Bill
