I do think it is bad and should not be done.
Do we go on a crusade to wipe out all the discus in the world? How about
guppies or swordtails? Goldfish? Or how about platties?
It is an us and them issue that you cant do anything about. Tell Wane to stop
selling all hybrids and I am sure he will tell you where to go.. Probably 50%
of the fish sold for aquariums are hybrids. That is just the way it is.
Fishkeeping is an industry that people ultimately put food on the table with
the profits from it. It does not make it right environmentaly but human
beings as a mass have never been worried about the environment. It is up to
us just to educate people as to why these things shouldn't be done and
perhaps all the fish you buy will be as they are found in the wild. Education
is the only thing we can do. Burning down the house so to say isn't going to
accomplish shit.
Do you assume your kids will grow up and know right from wrong or is it your
responsibility to teach them that?
