I'm selling Cyanotech astaxanthin for $5, postpaid for 1 ounce. If you're
having trouble getting hold of APR I sell that for $4/ounce. (for Canada &
overseas please blip back for a price). On the astaxanthin a little really
goes a long way. I don't have the exact recipe in front of me but they
were suggesting something like 100 ppm (mg per kg of astaxanthin). I would
actually suggest something like 300 ppm. This batch is listed at 2.%
astaxanthin. So for 300 mg of astaxanthin you would weigh out 15 grams of
powder. It works fine to feed straight to your fry but needs to be mixed in
with a frozen type prepared food to get it into the adults. You could also
use it to gut load your baby brine shrimp. {I've always wanted to gutload
one batch of baby brine shrimp with spirulina and another batch with
astaxanthin - what a lovely christmas card photo it would make :-) }
Make sure you keep the portion you're not using tightly sealed and in the
freezer as it does oxidize and go bad (just like APR).
