[RML] Rainwater

Hi folks,
How many people collect rainwater for their fish? By choice?
Necessity? What do you think of its suitability, and how do you treat it
before use? I collect a bit in screened drums, but I always feel it's a
little sus, partly being in Sydney air :-P, and partly because it sometimes
has stood in the drum a while (in Sydney it rains like hell for a week,
everything overflows, then no rain for weeks). So I'm a bit cautious about
setting up to use more collected water. Local government takes a dim view of
unscreened water containers as well. We are too far south for malaria, but
we do get a charming little virus disease called Ross River Fever off our
mosquitoes.
