I should have known better than to even think "what next?"

I turned to the APD for a little light reading and what do I see - "Ruddy
Roy the Colorado Boy"
He has even started telling the plant people all about Weipa and Tentpole
Creek no less.

Of course he hasn' t spelt Weipa correctly and has attributed the deep
green water there to "Alum" in the water which is probably a little wide of
the mark ( although Weipa is famous for Bauxite, a type of Aluminium ore,
and I think tiny particles of Bauxite dust are supposed to cause the
effect).

>From memory Alum is a flocculant added to water in treatment plants to
remove suspended matter, clay particles etc so if added to the water in
Tentpole Creek would cause it to become clear.

I can feel the title for a new article for FOS coming on - something like
this "Weep for Weipa - a wetspot wipeout" by Rooster Hunter and the Alumni
:-)
