I have a house full of barking geckoes. Actually they have been in Brisbane
for a few years now and are very plentiful in the eastern suburbs (wynnum,
manly, lota, lindum, hemmant, murarrie, lytton etc) I think they arrived not
long after Fisherman Island became the major seaport and they have spread
out from there. They certainly keep the cockroach population in check. I
remember hearing their barking noise for some time before I found out what
they were but now am quiet use to it. We have little ones that run around
the ceiling inside the house at night time while we watch TV.
Personally, I wouldn't be without them ;-)
Adrian.
