Yes it will, but just a note of caution for treatments using chlorine in
all-glass aquaria. If you regularly use chlorine or use high dose rates
eventually you will find that the chlorine will destroy or substantially
weaken the silicone that holds the glass together and one day it will fall
apart. I used to use chlorine on a regular basis and learnt the hard way
when one day the front pane of a 5 foot tank just fell out. Just as well
nobody was standing in front of it at the time.
Another thing you have to make sure you don't get a mouthful of the water
when siphoning it out of the tank. It sort of interferes with your vocal
cords and it will destroy your beneficial mouth bacteria. But I can tell you
it certainly clears up mouth ulcers and gives you whiter than white teeth -
that's if they don't fall out of course ;-))
My ENT Specialist says I suffer from laryngeal dysfunction and he keeps
blaming my 40 years of smoking Marloboro Cigs, but I keep telling him its
because of all the Chlorine treated aquarium water that I've swallowed over
the past 30 years ;-)) Isn't that right Doc?
Adrian.
