And thanks to everyone who replied about the mopani wood. Our server to the
net has been down since Friday and I didn't have access to your advice
over the weekend. I did a 50% water change because I was afraid that
there was some bacterial / fungus infection from the wood that would kill
the rainbow fish I was transfering to it on Sunday --I later realized that
the 4 corys were ok (the only fish in the new 75g tank at the time). I will
scrub and scrub......
BTW, the camallanus worms appeared again following piperizine citrate
treatment and I ended up using ivermectin; the worms are gone and all the
fish made it.
Transfer to the new tank went well-Mr G incisus jumped 4 ft !! straight up
!! from the transfer bucket with less than 3 inches of water and onto a
towel, He's ok today. Everyone is happy either in their new home or with
more space in the old one.
The adventure begins--on to hatching ! (though probably not till summer
when I have more time to dedicate to the fry)
OH, and I am a new member of ANGFA-NA
Thanks for all your help and advice,
Dianne
