Oih Roy, did that file I send you come through? I presume it did since
you never told me otherwise.

If one is innovate enough it can be done quite easily. Download one of
the following, uuencode, binhex, or mime type encoder/decoder (mime is
the most common one involved in sending files as attachments across the
net but it is the least common program in my experience to find). I
have used the other two quite successfully. Which program doesn't
matter, as long as the person recieving the file has the same type. If the
file isn't too big encode it, then paste it or retrieve it into the main
message body and send it. Then, Roy recieves it, saves it to a file and
runs it through the decoder. Sometimes it is neccessary to add the
appropriate file extension such as .uue for uuencoded files, or .hqx for
binhexed files. Sometimes too, it is neccessary to remove the text before
the encoded file too. If you do that use a text editor and save it back
as text.
For those of you who are not aware, all traffic across the internet via
email goes as ascii formatted text. These encoders convert a binary file
into ascii format so they can be transmitted. Then at the other end it
gets decoded again back to binary. Most of this is done transparent to
the user by their email program.
