Adrian,

Black patches are uncommon for both columnaris and mycobacteriosis. Fish
with columnaris usually have a whitish to yellow appearance to the affected
area, which may be lips, dorsum, caudal fin and caudal peduncle, and
pectoral fins. Swelling and bloating are signs commonly associated with
many bacterial infections, and some protozoan infections, so they can't be
used to diagnose a disease.

So was the good doctor successful in his treatment of myco?
