Hi damian. I use a higher male to female ratio when breeding
my fish. I have found two males to one female to be the most
productive. I think that when there are more females than
males , the females have a lot more time to go around eating
eggs. The males tend to spend a lot of time intimidating
each other. As for aggression towards the female by the
greater number of males, in my experience the males tend to
take out a lot of their aggression on each other so that the
female is not overly stressed.
