I haven't seen anything about Cobalt for fish but there is a treatment for
Pernicious Anaemia in Human medicine called Cyanocobalimin ( which contains
a form of cobalt salts) which is a pinkish colour.
Pernicious Anaemia results from an inability to absorb Vitamin B12.
