I'll have to dig up the ANGFA #'s that Barry put up last time but I believe
that we are very close to that or even surpassing that. We have 305 US members
and 50 overseas members. By a glitch of the computer program our Canadian
friends (18) also ended in this group too.
When we get all of the facts straight I would really appreciate Cary and/or
Chris writing us a short article so our people know exactly to avoid. FAMA
might be interested too. Nail it on the rec. aquaria page. Mail it for
posting in FAAS so that it will go into a great many other aquarium
publications in the US. A few other points..
1) I heard his fellow wrote an article on breeding leafy sea dragons (has them
by Cites permit). They are already watching this fellow. Find out where he's
got his sea dragons and I'll bet that's the connection.
2) Question for the good doctor - any chance that Bruce Sambel is now set up
for export and is unwittingly supplying this guy?? I know, too easy, but if ya
do a little poking down under you might be able to find his source. We have
other wholesalers that can EASILY EASILY put this guy out of business. They
have been begging for years for a good source of quality rainbowfish, gudgeons
and blue-eyes. The problem has always been from the Pacific Rim and your gov.
Hopefully they'll wise up and find that this is an excellent way to bring in
monies without raping the environment - certainly beats digging holes looking
for gold (no dig at miners, just the overall environmentally unfriendly
business of mineral extraction that both of our countries have had to deal
with).
