For this presentation I will talk with a friend of mine who works as
teacher in Brussels university. This guy has made a lot of things
about scientifical and commercial advices for pisciculture
(especially he has made some reintroduction of youg eels, they cannot
do it alone because of artificial obstacles such as dams and locks).
He is also one of the men who has defend introduction of Tilapia and
other food fishes in several countries. This man has work with
Trewavas and is one of the rare who has reproduce Pantodon
buccholzi. A big man. Our advices are not the same, of course. But
this guy was not desperately bad when he promotes all this things.
Interests were other than only to hold some species of cichlids of
rainbows. The good deal is to find an equal between local economy
and surviving of the several species of a biotop. I think PIABA
project in Brazil is not so bad for that.
I think that one of my purposes as aquarist (and president of an
association) is to try to learn the people not to left their aquarium
fishes in the nature. That's what I concretely can do (not so big
but...). The rest is political, scientifical and concerns the guy
who are planning the world. The problem is that we are electing
those guys...
Cheers
