Perhaps he does, but in this case his doubt is well founded. I've had it,
and no one who has could ever confuse it with duckweed. It is about as
different from duckweed as Lemna is from Salvinia, almost on the same scale.
I failed to keep it going, both from inadequate light (it needs powerful
light) and fish predation. Most fish will eat it, it seems. Only my most
voracious vegetarians (Xenotaca, Chrenichthys, Cyprinodon, Jordanella) will
eat duckweed, and I'm not sure about all of them.
