All breeds of dogs are actually the same species...Canis lupus familiaris
which can be traced back to the wolf, Canis lupus.
Domistic dogs arent hybreds...they were selective bred over the years
from wolves, to do certain tasks. For example...The Australian Cattle
Dog was breed and developed for herding, terriers to hunt down and get
rid of vermon etc... All of them can be traced back to wolves. Basically
it would be like developing a color strain of guppies...
True hybreds are those that are crossed species...such as M. praecox
and M. trifasicata. Or a Domestic dog and a wolf..as they are two
different species. If you bred a poodle and a german shepard, the pups
would still be the same species.
Dont know if this make any sense..but fish hybredization is not the same
as dogs....Two totally different things...
