I have it on good authority from Bruce Sambell who has spent the last 3
days battling his way through the tangled web of ACQ, QADAC and TAG
policies, politics and power groups that there will be an announcement
early in the week that commercial breeders will be lawfully be able to keep
and breed New Guinea Rainbowfishes for sale. Hopefully this will be a
prelude to having them included on the amended (equivalent of Commonwealth)
Schedule 6.
After all the misinformation that has been flying around this will be a
welcome announcement. Unfortunately a decision on the cut off point between
an amateur and commercial(licensable) breeder had been postponed for
further consideration
