We have beenhaving a wierd winter/spring lately. Hot as hell one week and
freezing cold the next (OK low 70- high 60 F Freezing for Honolulu). When
it got cold the connieae seemed to stop producing eggs (PITA now that
people want eggs). I have noticed that day length seems to affact them
more so I have lights on all day every day. This long day seems to inhibit
egg production in my furcatus. I am going to shut down the lights and see
what happens. However my rotifer/green water production system has lights
running 24 hrs and I am sure will continue to affect the system.
