Before buying the prawns check if they have elongated nippers "out front" -
if so they are probably Machrobrachium sp and could harm your Rainbows
especially at night. Most of the others smaller shrimp don't get as big as
these may and are usually useful scavengers in the Atyid family. Some even
eat algae
