Richard,

I am quite new to this group and a something of a novice when it comes to
keeping Australian natives. However, I can say that I am against
cross-breeding. I live in Brisbane and there used to be a number of creeks
in close proximity with a wide variety of native species. However with
progress many of these creeks have been filled in, polluted or overrun with
exotics. To me, the challenge of keeping natives is to assist in the
survival of native species, rather than to 'create' something unique or
pleasing to my eye. Anyway, that is my view.
