I think each TB bacteria species is more or less "species specific" so
there are only a few of the many species of Mycobacteria that can infect
each species of host animal and each species of TB "bug" has a fairly
limited range of physical factors necessary for their well-being e.,g.
temperature tolerance so the chances of your cat catching piscine TB is
slight Adrian. As a sidelight to this aspect, human cases of fish
originated Mycobacteriosis are virtually all on the extremities which are
of course at a lower temperature than the core human body temp and so the
piscine TB "bug" can just survive there but not in the human body proper
(or so the bacteriologists tell me).

In 1990 when I checked them pH was 7.9 with hardness 250 ppm and temp 21 C
