Not to pick on the individuals who sent these messages, BUT, DO NOT send
messages like this to the list. All you do is create a pile more bounce
messages that everyone recieves. Rob Huntley and I do not live at our
computers. Sometimes we are unable to check our email for 2 or 3
days. If a bounce starts there is nothing anyone else can do. Trust me,
as soon as we are aware of the problem we will solve it. We don't need
further emails telling us something that we already know once we check
our email. Neither does the rest of the list. We don't know why
tony266 at vabeach.email.net decided to just block email to acn-l rather
than unsubscribing like a reasonable person would. Perhaps if everyone
on this list sent him a message and asked him why he would think twice about
doing it again. The list should consider itself lucky that I even checked
email early Saturday morning before going away for three days otherwise
there would have been well over a hundred bounces. And, if subscribers
think a few bounces are a pain consider that for every message that goes
out to acn-l, Rob and I recieve around 3 extra messages on average. We
apologise to those who have to pay for their email but there is little
that can be done regarding irresponsible email users at the present point
in time.

Just to explain the bounces to those who don't know what is going on. A
user may either lose their account or block email which causes a bounce
back to the sender (acn-l). The list software (majordomo) usually detects
these are a bounce and most come to me only. Occasionally it
goes to the list which sets up a loop until I can manually unsubscribe the
offender. Thus everytime the bounce occurs it sends a message back to
itself via acn-l. When a bounce is occuring and someone else sends a
message to the list then you double the number of bounces, and when
another gets sent you get three times as many bounces and so on. So
please, if a bounce occurs please avoid sending messages to the group
until the bounce has been dealt with or you only make things worse.

Thank you
