I've desisted from an introduction, because other lists have become
completely jammed with introductions. Briefly, I am with CSIRO fisheries
in Hobart, Australia. My major research area is the functioning of marine
temperate shelf ecosystems and how they might be best managed to maintain
or enhance a sustainable fishery whiel presrving the habitat and other
sources of production. I am interested in the potential of landscape
geography as a basis for decision making in this area and would welcome
knwoledge of other's experience in this area. By the way species
introductions are also a major problem here and CSIRO has recently set up a
centre for research into introduced marine pests.
