The efforts of aquarists in the Lake Vic work have not been rebuffed, they
have been welcomed. However, the precise nature and level of involvement
of any aquarist effort in captive breeding can only be commensurate with
the level of organization and education that aquarists achieve. Some
effort clearly needs to go there, and in some cases, it has.
