Yes. I haven't seen the Saeed et al publication that put this view.
The Chernoff and Dyer paper seemed to follow a reasonably logical
means of putting Pseudomugilidae & Telmatherinidae as closest
relatives.
Could you provide the list with the full citation of Saeed et al.
