Hi Jim,
I'm not sure what chemical(s) are used to make fiberfil and batting
(use to make filter sleeves) flame retardent. I was warned of using the
flame retardent stuff by an aquarist who had a problem with it. I use
fiberfil in my magnum canister, that way I don't have to wash the old
stuff out and fight with an unwilling and wet sleeve.
